MILWAUKEE HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OFFICES

Transformational in functionality and aesthetics, this renovation project included critical rework of the exterior envelope and a gut remodel of the interior spaces excluding the existing workshop for the Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity headquarters. The goal of the project was to create an open, bright, and inviting space for staff and future homeowners. The interior palate celebrates the home building process using raw materials like brick, exposed wood studs, light wood cabinetry, floor reminiscent of exposed concrete, and gravel style backsplashes. The design team collaborated with several material donors to maintain the project budget in alignment with Habitat for Humanity’s goals to reuse materials, build relationships in the community, and utilize funds efficiently for the largest impact.
