ROGERS BEHAVIORAL HEALTH: BROWN DEER MAIN CAMPUS 32 BED RESIDENTIAL EXANSION
Roger Behavioral Health wanted to expand their residential care unit in Brown deer to accommodate adults and adolescents suffering from depression, but with the added flexibility to switch to inpatient if their patient base required it. This resulted in a new free-standing 2-story building with (2) 16 bed units linked to the existing hospital with a large central courtyard and a design that merged the feel of a welcoming home-like atmosphere with the highest level of design for safety. The units (one for adults and one for adolescents) feature a large centrally located nurse desk, main living area with day room and kitchenette, patient bedrooms with double and single occupancy, shared patient bathrooms with showers, a meds room, exam room, group therapy rooms and consult rooms for individual and family therapies.
